Day 55

Image
Izzie & I went to visit my grandma today. She had a few strokes a few weeks ago and is in rehab recovering but she looks great and is doing well! The is the extent to which we celebrate New Years.

Day 54

Image
Izzie had a check up today. She's 6lbs 4oz. She's in newborn clothes now! Family play time. Izzie came to work with me today. I needed to organize and print some stuff out since I go back to work Monday.

Day 53

Image
Every day we're snugglin' :)

Day 52

Image
Izzie's birth announcement is here finally! Snoozing.

Day 51

Image
Love her little outfit.  Starting tummy time. She can pick her head up and turn it side to side and she almost flipped over from tummy to back. Strong little one. She HATES tummy time though. Izzie, Jack & I went to visit my friend Stephanie and her kids in NH. SO it was Izzie's first time in NH. She's been to MA, CT and RI but I haven't gotten those pics yet.  asd asd

Day 50

Image
We went to Edaville today. We think her eyes are going to be blue because they are getting lighter by the day and Jack's were getting darker at this point.

Day 49

Image
The final version of the Christmas card we sent out. Izzie's first Christmas tree. Dad reading them The Night Before Christmas . We had Christmas at home, at Scott's sister's and the Wolny's.

Day 48

Image
Look at that face.  I made one of these for Jack too.  Here's his: Cuddle bug. This bear is from their daycare lady, Donna.  We went to our neighbor's holiday party tonight. Their niece has a son who is 2 who has downs syndrome. We knew they were going and wanted to meet them. They were really nice and their son, DJ, was super cute. It's nice to know people in the area who've been through it.

Day 47

Image
Izzie has a nice stash of her own ornaments so far! Top left is from Robin. Next to it on the right is one I bought and next to that is one my mom bought. Then to the right is the hand print one her daycare lady made with her hand. Then bottom left is from Crystal's mom, Cheryl. To the left is from Scott's mom. To the left is one I had made. And to the left is from Sharon.  Snoozing.  The one on the far right was made with her hand by her daycare lady! Scott, Jack, Izzie & I went to visit a student at NHS who has downs syndrome, along with her mom and dad and chatted about what life may be like for Izzie in the future. Scott and I also watched the first three episodes of the A&E show Born this Way about 7 young adults in Los Angeles who have Downs Syndrome. It was really interesting. There is such a range of what they can do. But it also shows their parents and there are definitely ways to raise a kid with DS and ways not to. We plan on treating Izz

Day 46

We all went to the 11th Hot Pink Holiday Party.

Day 45

Little girl loves her sleep.

Day 44

Image
Snoozing during Jackson's birthday \\

Day 43

Image
Izzie's shadowbox is almost done.  Her eye thing is back again. Ugh.

Day 42

Image
Izzie went to school with me. Everyone fawned over her.  Then her EIT nurse came adn said she's looking absolutely amazing. Moving a ton, making eye contact etc...

Day 41

Image
WICKED CUTE - when Izzie cries, Jack immediately stops what he is doing and runs over to her and gives her a kiss. <3

Day 40

Image
Ugh - why do my kids have such a hard time gaining weight when they eat all the time? LOL. She only gained 4oz and is 5lbs 12 oz.

Day 39

Image
Grandma is visiting for a few days!

Day 38

Image
Izzie had her 2nd neurology scan today. She still has a grade 2 brain bleed but again, that doesn't mean anything. It's not getting bigger. Grade 3 and 4 can do harm. Grades 1 and 2 are fine. The annoying part is there is nothing you can do to heal them or make them go away and they can take time to go away. Her next scan is in February.

Day 37

Image
I started a tradition to make an ornament for family every year with the kids' pictures and info on the back about them

Day 36

Image
My aunt Beverly and her kids came and visited us!

Day 35

Image
What? This isn't how you shop with 2 kids? She slept the entire time until we checked out.

Day 34

Image
She's 5lbs, 8 oz and 18 inches long.  She had her weekly pediatrician appointment this morning. The doctor said that she's never seen a baby down DS move so much, especially with a heart defect. She also said that she's already trying to flip over which she doesn't see "normal" babies do this early. And finally, she's already making excellent eye contact which is great for ANY baby at 4 weeks. Jack did this early too.  She also visited dad at his office for the first time!

Day 33

Image
Isabelle is doing really well!

Day 32

Image
She had her cardiology follow up and he said she's doing as well as she can be with what she has - best case scenario. Her VSD is very small so it's not letting tons of extra blood flow to her lungs which would cause issues breathing and eating. Her 2 ASDs are doing fine. Her heart is still well balanced.  We visited my friend Jen and her 3 kids today!

Day 31

Image
Happy 1 month Isabelle!

Day 30

Image
Her eyes are getting MUCH better.  We went to my friend Michele's daughter's 2nd birthday party today. Izzie loved the swing.

Day 29

Image
My brother took some nice family pics today. Until then,  poor Izzie has a minor eye infection so we've had to put this goopy stuff in her eyes 3 times a day and she haaates it. Can't say I blame her.  We went to a friend's kid's birthday party today as well as her cousin Mackenzie's birthday party!

Day 28

Image
Izzie's first trip to Jiffy Lube. Jiffy Lube is boring...  Ok, that was dumb. But she did have her first EIT visit. Went well.
