Day 268

Image
Isabelle got baptized today. Here she was a few days ago when I could get a few good pics of her and the dress. The baptism and the people who came. <3 Izzie with her parents & godparents. <3 Here cake.  This was the same shirt Jack wore to his bbq after his baptism. The fingerprint tree her guests made at the bbq.  We are blessed with amazing family & friends who made this day special despite the weather.

Day 267

Image
More grand Fuchs time. I think she's teething because she's been sucking/biting her fingers.  Grandma conked her out.  Happy girl.

Day 266

Image
Having fun outside.  And cuddling with grandma Fuchs.

Day 265

Image
Love how happy she is.  We are practicing having her put weight on her feet in a variety of ways since she pretty much refuses to do it and it's the first step to walking.

Day 264

Image
This peanut is 12lbs 8oz and 22.25 inches.  I know that because we had 2 appointments today that lasted an awful long time.  Cliff notes? There is some stuff to watch for but they are very unlikely to develop into anything.  Detailed notes?  Heart They did an echo on her heart and she has slight narrowing of her mitral valve. It hasn't gotten worse in the last 2 months and if it were going to be a problem, it would've gotten worse, likely. It's at 5mm. She also has a small obstruction in her left ventricle. It's also very small and unlikely to get bigger. Neither of those issues are causing pressure problems so they aren't anything to be concerned with. We will follow up in 2 months or if she starts to breathe heavily or sweat while eating, then I call him and he sees her right away. Fixes could include putting balloons in or surgery.  Brain For her brain, we saw the same guy from Children's that we saw when she was in the hospital for her heart su

Day 263

Image
She makes my heart melt with how happy she is.  She went to the doctor today and he checked her for things kids with down syndrome can get such as cataracts. She doesn't have anything. Her eyes are straight. However he used some instrument and said that she may need glasses when she is older. He said she is slightly nearsighted. But slightly in the sense that he explained it, "if she were driving on a highway at night and it was raining, she may have trouble seeing distances". So no real worries.

Day 262

Image
Izzie's eaten carrots, sweet potato, watermelon, banana, squash, pears, butternut squash and apples with pumpkin and avocado to come next. She is getting so much stronger every day. She now frequently flips over to sleep on her tummy and on her back and tummy, she pivots - not crawling but will kind of spin.

Day 261

Image
We went to a birthday party for one of Scott's friends. It was nice but soooo hot. Izzie HATES being hot. Don't blame her.

Day 260

Image
Today we went on the boat with grandma Bentley.  After we went to the South COunty Hot Air Balloon Festival which was a big let down.

Day 259

Image
Jack, Isabelle & I joined some friends and their kids to pick some sunflowers and go on a hayride. It was extremely hot.  Even though she's been to Massachusetts and Rhode Island plenty of times, I finally got the signs for it.

Day 258

Image
What a happy girl. This is actually one of the first outfits I bought for her while I was pregnant with her. Love this bathing suit. It's 6 months.

Day 257

Image
Fun with Jackson. She's starting to use this thing to eat food like watermelon and bananas.  She's doing really well at eating oatmeal and food mixed together.

Day 256

Image
Loving this kiddo. Sad day, I broke out her 6 month clothes. I'd say about 50% of her 3 month clothes still fit but the rest are right.  By the way she has 98827384 6 month clothes. But on the plus side I can not WAIT for her to wear these cute dresses.

Day 255

Image
Isabelle has officially been outside of me as long as she was in me - 36 weeks and 2 days.

Day 254

Image
Mom & dad are happy to be home with this peanut after a great vacation. It;s our 6 year anniversary.

Day 253

Image
Hugging Jackson at grandma & grandpa Bentleys.

Day 252

Image
Getting spoiled by grandma & grandpa Bentley.

Day 251

Image
The kiddos are headed to grandma & grandpa Bentley's for a few days so Scott & I can spend some time together for our 6th wedding anniversary on the Cape.

Day 250

Image
Hanging with my home girl. <3

Day 249

Image
Loves butternut squash. We hung out with Liz & her family today!

Day 248

Image
She had two EITs today. One for feeding and one for her regular PT.  Both went well. The food one went GREAT. They said she is doing awesome. She is engaged in eating which some kids with DS aren't. Some are on feeding tubes for life :( Some never outgrow purees (really hoping that doesn't happen). But she ate oatmeal and sweet potatoes and then banana and watermelon through the mesh feeder which is a HUGE deal. She was in the highchair - with support (blankets, pool noodles etc...). She does great with a spoon. All around a very good visit.

Day 247

Image
Happy little peanut. Went to Scott's grandpa's 84th birthday party. She had lots of snuggles form the Bentley family. <3
