Maine

Image
Isabelle and Jackson have now been to the same number of states: 16, plus D.C. Maine was the last state she needed to catch up.  We stayed in wells, ME at Carriage House Motel Cottages  & Suites. They had a playground, shuffleboard, a pool and a hot tub. Pretty cool. We first hit at the York's Wild Kingdom. Jack won his first stuffed animal plying the game where you shoot water into the hole. He had fun.   Jack played mini golf for the first time.  He loved the donuts at Congdons. We still found time to hit up the home depot thing where Jack made a truck.  And of course we went to the Trolley Museum. Jack now loves trains - we bought him a train table & set.   We chose to try Old Orchard Beach. It was Izzie's first time in the Atlantic.   And finally we walked along the Marginal Way. Gorgeous.

FL trip

Scott, the kids and I  took a trip to Palm Harbor, FL to visit Scott's best friend, Dave & his girlfriend, Brittany. This is at South of the border in South Carolina.  On Uncle Dave's boat. At the Clearwater aquarium with Aunt Brittany.  At Lowry Park Zoo. Jack feeding a giraffe. Eating sand at clearwater beach. Also, Isabelle's first time in salt water.  And at the liberty bell.  New states the kids visited: New Jersey, Delaware, DC (not a state), Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

Day 295

I tried to take the kids on a short hike to the point where RI, CI & MA meet. But I only got .57 of the way there. AT that point, you can't use the stroller. So Jack needed to walk, uphill. I thought he would love it because it's in the woods and it's rocky. NOPE. We got about .1 of the way up and he freaked out. So I carried him back down and we turned around. Izzie was in a carrier on me.   Also - Izzie's first time at the beach. We took them to Sand Hill Cove in RI because everyone said there were no waves....... there were little waves but not no waves and Jack really wasn't a huge fan until I picked him up and carried him out with me.
