Day 365

Isabelle's runner sent her some wicked cute clothes, tshirts from the buddy walk she did and two awesome medals from her runs. Isabelle has the best buddy ever! Dad, Isabelle and I went to baby sign language at the MDSC while grandma & grandpa Bentley watched Jack.

Day 329

Image
Isabelle's famous! She was put in the MDSC email that went out to everyone in MA connected to Down Syndrome. A link to our story is here . Roughly 200 people checked out this blog today and tomorrow (I write these in the future).  Grandma Fuchs went home :(

Day 317

Image
We went to the buddy walk in Westboro. It was awesome - like 70 kids from Northbridge were there volunteering. We went to a friend's daughter's 5th birthday party.  And we got to see grandma & grandpa Bentley!

Day 245

Image
Scott is raising money for the Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress (MDSC) where he will be able to skate with the Bruins alumni in November. Pretty cool. Click here to donate. He needs to get $2000 to play. We're at like $1640 (two offline donations). ANY amount would help - even like $5! Isabelle slept through her first fireworks!

Day 134

Image
The annual Massachusetts Down Syndrome Congress Conference was today.  Scott & I attended sessions on being a new parents of a child with DS, floor time activities and occupational therapy (ways to help her with things like brushing her teeth, getting dressed etc...). We met the keynote speaker - Tim Harris - who is the only person with down syndrome to own a restaurant in the country. He also was our friend, Kim's, homecoming king (she was queen).  So I chatted with him about her. Her onesie says "my extra chromosome makes me sparkle".
